Be one of the sources in Google's AI answers
AI Overviews now appear above the classic results for many searches, and AI Mode turns Google into a conversation. Both draw on Google's search index — so solid SEO is the price of entry, and clear, specific answers decide who gets the link.
“Google says there are no extra requirements to appear in AI Overviews beyond being indexed and eligible to show a snippet.”
Google's own guidance, summarised
What we work on for Google's AI features
Built on technical SEO and content quality, then shaped for AI answers.
Indexing and eligibility
Pages crawlable, indexed and eligible for snippets — the basic requirement Google sets.
Answer-ready sections
Headings phrased as questions, direct answers first, and supporting detail that AI Overviews can link to.
Fan-out coverage
AI Mode runs many related searches for one question. We make sure your content covers the follow-ups, not just the main query.

AI feature traffic is reported within the regular Search Console web data. We set up segments and prompt tracking to understand it.

Questions about Google AI Overviews & AI Mode optimization
Can we opt out of AI Overviews?
Only with snippet controls such as nosnippet or max-snippet, which also limit how you appear in classic results. Google-Extended does not affect AI Overviews. For most businesses, appearing is the better goal.
Do AI Overviews reduce clicks?
For some informational queries, yes — users get their answer on the page. Being the linked source is still better than being absent, and visitors who do click tend to be further along in their decision.
Is this just SEO with a new name?
It's built on SEO, and we're open about that. The additions are question-led structure, fan-out coverage and measurement of AI features.
